1946 marked the beginning of the rising career of Mr. Arturo Teramoto Weki in the candy and snack industry.

Born in Ciudad Guzmán Jal., Mex., son of Japanese parents, Mr. Arturo began his adventure doing business in his own home, as always supported by his wife, Mrs. Carolina Sera, making caramels and fried snacks, with the help of just 6 people.

In 1960, Mr. Arturo purchased 360 m2. Of land on which, he established his production center, operating under the name "Productos Tapatíos", which allowed them to increase production of their line of peanut snacks, principally, although they had only a few machines, invented and conceived by the family themselves.

The acquisition of his first automatic packaging machine, in 1964, gave rise to the creation of "PICO", a sweet chili powder, current leader in its field.

By 1971, the company had developed more infrastructure and in the same year, Mr. Arturo acquired a property 960 m2., on which he constructed the current installations, which were completed in three stages that proudly became what is today, a 1920 square-meter, two-level structure.

In 1972, which the new name "Productora Diana, S.A. de C.V." and with more extensive machinery consisting of a lager number of packaging machines and vats, or tanks, they began operations in their new installations.

With a greater production capacity and a fervent desire for growth, Mr. Arturo opened up a market along the Pacific coast to the United States border, making his products known in the American market long before the border was opened to mexican products.

In 1982, Arturo Masajaru Teramoto Sera, the second son of Mr. Arturo, earned his degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering and immediately entered the administrative area of the Company. He subsequently took the position of chief Executive Officer (CEO) participating enthusiastically in various projects important to the growth of the Company.

In 1991, for reasons of strategy, the Company’s name changed to "Industrial de Alimentos Diana, S.A. de C.V.", beginning a new stage in the production of "PICO" powdered sweet chili, candy-in-a-straw, and their line of sugar-coated-sweets.

In the month of May, 1998, Arturo Masajaru left the management of the Company due to serious health problems that subsequently led to his death in May of 1999.

As a consequence. The third son of Mr. Arturo, CPFTS, took over management of the Company. He had, for a time, dedicated himself to the purchasing sales and distribution of wholesale candy on various routes in the Mexican Republic as well as to a number of projects, giving him the experience necessary to oversee a range of interesting projects which helped the company to expand.

The current infrastructure of the Company to expand includes 10 packaging machines and 6 more under construction, as well as 25 vats or tanks for the production of sugar sugar-coated-candy.
